What’s the difference between VANILLA EXTRACT and VANILLA ESSENCE?

We can consume/use Vanilla Extract as it is made from beans.

We cannot consume/use Vanilla Essence as it is synthetic and made using artificial flavours and colors.

Synthetic definition:-(of a substance) made by chemical synthesis, especially to imitate a natural product.

VANILLA EXTRACT:  Made from vanilla beans.
Vanilla extract is a fragrant amber colored liquid made by steeping vanilla beans in ethyl alcohol and water

100% Pure Vanilla Extract: ” requires a minimum of 35 percent alcohol and at least 100 grams of vanilla beans per liter.

VANILLA EXTRACT:   The vanilla extract is a natural product, but the vanilla essence is synthetic.  Vanilla extract is less processed and provides a stronger quality, and  purer vanilla flavour in  comparison to essence.

Vanilla extract is made by soaking vanilla pods in alcohol and water. The flavour is extracted by the liquid ingredients.

How is vanilla extract made?
====================
VANILLA BEANS:  Vanilla extract is a fragrant, amber-colored liquid made by steeping vanilla beans in ethyl alcohol and water. To be considered a “pure vanilla extract,” it needs a minimum of 35 percent alcohol and at least 100 grams of vanilla beans per liter.

VANILLA  ESSENCE:  is a synthetic – so it’s made using artificial flavours and colors.

VANILLA  ESSENCE:  is a manufactured product, therefore, vanilla essence contains very little or no real vanillin. Therefore, vanilla essence is high in additional additives, such as colouring, flavouring, sweeteners, preservatives.
